Any time is the right time to discover a new talent or interest!
In 2013, Helpertunity was the proud recipient of a "Coding for a Cause" Grant, provided by the Central Florida Drupal Web Development Community.
Talented Volunteer Web Designers used the open-source Drupal Coding Language to create this custom-designed website for Helpertunity, and provided free web-hosting for one year.
Every year, Helpertunity collects recreation resources, craft supplies, and technology items for residents in care facilities and shelters. These items are carefully packaged into "Activity Kits" and are distributed to Activity Professionals attending continuing education seminars.

So, despite limited hearing and impaired peripheral-vision, which keeps Karen from driving, she enjoys gathering with friends online to exchange craft patterns and healthy new recipes:
Keeping the mind sharp is important as we age... but staying young-at-heart requires trying new things with a bit of daring and playful experimentation. Helpertunity combines each of these elements with their inter-generational elder & youth activities that are inspired by the fun of Science & Nature!
